Randy S. Hall - Author
Early in life Randy decided he wanted to be an author of fantasy
novels. This came as a result of reading J. R. R, Tolkien’s “The
Hobbit” as well as the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. There was a problem
with this decision. The problem was he could’t type well enough to ever
get a manuscript submitted without too many mistakes. Typos and
misspelled words would lead to rejected manuscripts. Computers came
along and Randy could see that they were the future. He then went to
college to learn how to be a computer programmer. After only part of
the first semester he saw it was not the right vocation for him.
Sometimes Life Gets in The Way
Randy continued to knock around, taking various jobs to survive. He worked mostly in construction, which barely paid the bills necessary to live. This meant buying a computer was completely out of the question. He did not give up on his dream of being an author and wrote the start of his first fantasy novel. That novel is still not completed. It was also about this time that he discovered he had a knack for writing poetry. Now many years later he has accumulated over 800 poems. He describes them as well written and meaningful, on many different subjects.
What is and what's to come
Randy has also written some short stories. Two of them he has
published on his blog. He is now illustrating his first children’s book
“Going to the Zoo”. The poems are being typed again and compiled into
books. The first fantasy novel “The Sword of Ghespi” is for sale on
Amazon in paperback and kindle.
